Iran is a lot bigger than Iraq. It is a highly mountainous region. It has a vibrant economy, and its people has a totally different mentality than Iraqi. These are Persians, and a lot of others. Attacking Iran will be blatantly obvious to be an exercise in stealing their oil and bringing the US under rich country hegemony. The mess that is Iraq will serve as a rallying call for Iran. They’ll know what to expect from the US. This at the same time the U.S. is mostly bankrupt.
