Judge for yourself – compare a few dozen prices on Amazon with equivalent prices in Dutch supliers. In various cases the price of key articles on Amazon has artificially been lowered to half any equivalent. This is “Dumping” or “Undercutting”.

What is “Dumping”?

Dumping is a term used in the context of international trade. It’s when a country or company exports a
product at a price that is lower in the foreign importing market than the price in the exporter’s domestic market. Another term is “undercutting”.

Right now Amazon wants to muscle in to EU and Dutch markets at any cost, at any price. They are competing with stores, web sites, franchises and chains inside the Netherlands, as well as in Europe at large, and they are competing by means of artificially lowering product prices on Amazon lower than any cost prices of equivalent products offered by Dutch/EU stores – online or otherwise.  This is literally an act of war by a monopolist foreign aggressor with the intent purposes of wiping out as many points of sales in the Netherlands and EU.

As a Dutch national, who despises the inhumane corporate practices of Jeff Bezos and Amazon (also known as “relentless.com“), I am deeply concerned and demand from my elected officials they take action. Amazon does not have the interests of the Dutch and Europeans at heart. It just wants to spread its corporate influence, willingly operating at a loss, to displace competitors and gain monopolist market supremacy.  Amazon does this by treating its workers in a viciously ruthless manner, in some cases by implicitly making their delivery and “fulfillment center” staffers defecate and pee inside bottles just in order to meet productivity quota’s.

I argue that Amazon, and in specific Jeff Bezos, is consistently acting like a ruthless psychopath and he doesn’t give a damn what suffering he is willing to inflict on both his own people and his competitors.

I repeat my demand – Amazon must be stopped at all costs
